How did you choose your dogs name

Islay - was kind of following the whisky theme me and my ex had (Macallan, Talisker, Jura, Port Ellen....)

Flick - she came with the name and I couldnt be bothered to change it :D

Amy - well, no idea how she got the name (ask Cayla :p) but I thought C might be offended if I changed it :D

TBH they have so many nicknames etc I rarely call them by their real names (unless they are disapearing into the distance in the woods!), and since Islay and Amy are quite similar I usually resort to 'oi, that one, stop doing that' :p

All our dogs have been rescue dogs so they were already named. My dad's dogs were mainly already named when he got them apart from one of his GSDs who he named Gretchen as its a German name

oooh bring back that show - I'd forgotton all about it!

We had had a hellish traumatic time with our last pup - long tragic hellish story - then my dog trainer got me to meet an amazing cross spin/IWS - then I found out same dogs brother had sired a litter and I chose the wee runty brown pup that no-one else wanted.... trainer was called Billie, the amazing dog I met was Millie so mine had to be Tilly... partly as my wee Tilly Lamp as she led me out of an awful place of darkness from the trauma before.

Husband still not forgiven me for not calling her PHOEBE tho (you ever see the episode where she runs in central park????).

*scurries off to look at the pic again* (of the dog of course!) :o

Hallie was called Candy when we got her. One the way home from the rescue centre we were thinking of names and I say, the name is Bond, James Bond. So thinking about The Bond films, the one with Hallie Berry in had just come out so we called her Hallie.
Amber was named by my friend's mum. I texted my friend asking for names as we couldn't think of one and when I told her she was a tiger striped brindle she suggested Amber.
