I have owned my pony, Buck for about 6 months now and in the past 2 months or so he has started to become very forward (jig jogging, leaping forward, side stepping) and not doing what you ask him to do. He is naturally a lively, goey pony but now its just getting irritating. He is 8-9yrs now and 14.2hh and has only been a stock horse so doesn't know anything about leg aids, and the basic flat work skills really, and doesn't respond if you sit deep or anything as he has never been taught. All he ever does is jig jog and when you ask him to trot or canter he just starts leaping about like a d*&k h^#d. If you play with his mouth even the slightest he'll kick up a fuss and start doing little leaps, but he does have a soft and very sensitive mouth. But before we even start trying to teach him anything about flat work i really have to teach him to listen to me and calm him down..i just don't no how!? please any ideas i would love to know, as i have tried everything i can think of but nothing is working.
