I don't know what is the best way to clean my saddlepads

Can you give me some advice on how to clean saddlepads
I put them on my metal clothes rail, squirt washing liquid on, use a light brush then hoes them clean and leave in sun, lightweight ones i put on a low wash in machine.

Hair I just brush off with a brush

Pop them in washer bag when OH is at work.
Remove as many hair a possible beforehand, magic brush works well.

white Lemieux saddle cloths are the bane of my life. Soak is a bucket with vanish powder/ stain remover stuff, then wash with more stain remover stuff on whites setting in washing machine. Leave to dry in direct bright sunlight that also bleaches stuff has been my method so far. Easier suggestions welcome, though it works (ish).

My honest answer is I pay a rug cleaning company to do it! I save them up so I have a decent amount to send and then get them collected. They come back sparkly clean & hair free & I get to feel justified in having about 20 saddle pads! The exception to this is ones that I keep for best that get washed every use so are less hairy and mucky. Those get brushed with a rubber dehairing brush & shoved in an orange wash bag then ideally hung out to dry.

What washer bag do you use? Jokes about hairy pants aside, I really do need something that will be heavy duty enough to stand up to washing girths, nummnahs, etc inside it.

The wash bags you need to have plenty of space in the or the stuff inside just gets squashed and it doesn't wash properly. I don't like them to be honest. I dehair and then bucket wash. Then machine wash without the bag, using powder. Powder washes so much better than tablets. I find anyway.

For white ones add a dishwasher tablet as well.

I use old pillow cases, twist the opening and use a heavy duty elastic band wound round numerous times to seal. Royal mail keeps me supplied with lots and lots of them!!!
