My new horse's passport doesn't have anything on it to do with her breeding. I've had various people ask me, only for me to say I don't know?! Told she was ISH but would like to know for sure. Is there any other way of finding out if its not on the passport?:o

I've got the same problem too. I think I'm going to write to the first people on her passport and maybe send an update pic and letter to let them know how shes getting on. I've never bred a horse or had to apply for a passport before, but maybe its easier just to put 'unknown' for the dam and sire.

Not much, she was with her previous owner for three years before me, and the original owner bred her I think but then was unable to look after he due to sickness. I have her address on the passport so I might send her a letter and see:)

That's the quickest way.

Just wondering if you ever got a reply from the letter as I'm in the same predicament... would love to see a pic of her mam and dad or just one and the detail how tall parents were etc xx

I've written to the first names on passports before today saying how the animal is doing and sometimes asking about their history. If they reply they are usually interested and I've had some nice pictures sent of the pony as a foal with its mother which at least lets you see the sort of mare they are out of.

I never got it in the end, I went back two owners who had her in the space of 4 years then to a dodgy dealer who seems to have disappeared off the face of the planet. Got lots of lovely pictures and stories but not what I was looking for. Shame as she is lovely!

I purchased a horse nearly a month ago from northern Ireland and I didnt get told much about her as she was from a dealer she is perfect in all ways but there is no information about her parents ect in her passport there is only her name age and place bred which was england there us a name on the passport who ibe tried to search up but no look my horse is called honeys pride (betty) and she is 12 years old shes an irish part bred I would love to know more about her is there any way I could find out any more info about her?
