how do i get my horses mane thick? its very thin and kind of straggly looking, its got better, it kind of stays on one side! but its very uneven, some bits being longer than the other. i really want a nice thick shortish man, like a showjumpers mane, any ideas?

Cut it, use scissors to trim the long straggly bits, cut up into it so you do not end up with it looking too straight ,take your time doing it, even if it does look a bit too straight to start with it will soon blend in, it will help it thicken or at least give the appearance of a neat and tidy mane.

I second the cutting. And to follow, try to never brush it, unless you have first applied coconut oil, or something similar and use only a body brush.

Ive found plaiting and contiditioning has improved my lads mane,i also only use a dandy brush or my fingers to comb through, already in the last year its improved and second trimming the ends.

thanks guys, ill stop using my mane brush, and start using a body brush. im to scared to cut it incase i cut it uneven!
