How do I get rid of Mites...?

My horse has mites on his legs. I have found loads about how to stop them from infesting but I can't seem to find anything on how to clear them away. Is there a specific treatment to get rid of them? All help will be greatly appreciated and accompanied by a socially distanced hug.

I have a hairy cob (who comes from Ireland!) with great long feathers and I get my vet to give him a course of two injections of Dectomax (15ml) twice a year, also I spray on Deosect (diluted) twice a day and wash his feathers using Selsun Shampoo 2.5% (Selenium Sulphide). This keeps the mites under control.

Sadly nothing ‘natural‘ works to get rid of them completely, I’ve found you need chemicals.

I use a spot on dog treatment, must be fipronil, on the back of the pastern, then a second treatment 1 month later. It's worked for mine
