How do I get this Horse Drinker to work ....

erm used to sell them but dont remember anything specific sorry! I was going to suggest pming pedantic ;) :D

says has top access panel so i would be removing this and seeing if there is a bit you slide.

plus the ball itself may have been secured during shipping so may need untying??

Hmmmm I tried to unscrew the ball valve arm and although it undoes, the ball is too big to come out of the 'pre formed' hole ... basically it seems to have been put in before it was made, if you see what I mean !!??

Got your PM, ballvalve will most likely be a Diagphram type, if the ball isn't jammed against the side of the tank, and there is def water switched on, it's gonna be either the Diagphram washer inside stuck to the insert or most likely the nylon pin jammed in the brass housing where the arm pushes the pin into the body.

:confused::confused::confused: .... thank you so much for your reply, it looks like I will have to do some more unscrewing and observing tomoz and then possibly back to Scats ......... :o

Make sure water is turned on and you have mains pressure.

Check that the large plastic ball connected by the metal arm to the valve mechanism is pushed downwards to allow water to come in as it may be jammed against the side of the water trough in the upwards position.
