How do I handle this?

Hi Vicki

Yes I know it was a shame and indeed not the way I wanted it to end.. I felt so sad for the little girl but it was the parents decision.

He is now home with us and before we turned him out this morning, we weigh taped him as we want to check his progress and discovered that he is actually 270kgs and not the 295kgs that she had stated... Unless of course weigh tapes differ depending on their make..

Once he is up to weight I will be seeking another rider for him to have on loan but he will be staying put at my yard this time..

Another Update...

Had a phone call from the loaner of the other pony yesterday - basically because of her new job and that he is not being ridden very much - they have decided it would be better if he came home to us....

So yesterday they dropped him off - it was so sad the mum, dad & little girl were so upset.... I told the little girl she can come down and ride him anytime she wants....

When we turned him out today he seemed a little itchy and upon close inspection it became apparent that he was covered in lice.... so we have had to de- louse everything.....

Never mind.... I have decided that they will be up for loan again but to save any aggro they will only be available to stay at my own yard....
