just want to know in case the day comes and i can afford a dressage saddle how i tell what i have? is the length from cantle to do ring? but what about the width is it just narrow medium wide?where do i measure? I have a stubben seigfried gp which is slightly forward cut and so would like something more straight... would get reg fitter out but just want to know thanks!

The measurements are often taken between the D rings, but you have to be clear whether this is D or D or the internal dimension, and of course D rings are in different places on saddles. Your Stubben should have a size marked on it (28 to 32 I think) and you should be able to establish what that equates to

If you like the fit of the Stubben, the Romanus is straighter cut

The length of the saddlen is measured from the stud to the centre of the cantle.

Not sure how they work, I am guessing that might be a medium. you could call Saddleworld in Maidstone who supply and fit Stubbens, and they could confirm. I tend to fit my own by eye and experience.
