My human is (and I am truly trying to be kind here) a Nervous Nellie. Well, I was tootling round the school the other day with said nervous nellie aboard and there was a huge bang and a cow appeared at my eye level. O.K hands up, I shouldn't have done this BUT I whipped round, dropped my shoulder and her at the same time.Nervous Nelies instructor was glowering from other end of school. ANYWAY she is now MORE nervous SO to help her breathing (she says, wish she would stop altogether) she SINGS.Have you heard her singing??? More like cruel and unusual punishment to me and I will be having a word with the RSPCA.Best of all though, she tried nursery rhymes until she got to Humpty Dumpty had a great fall and then suddenly clamped up!!

You do the crime, you do the time.

Consider this turn of events VERY carefully the next time you consider stepping off the straight and narrow.

Could you win some money for her? Or at least not break/eat/otherwise destroy anything for a bit so she'd have money left over to buy an ipod? There might still be some tuneless humming but it might be an improvement.

Just be grateful you don't have to put up with a human wittering on to you about her *VERY* dull life, which seems to revolve around people going "bust". I didn't know people could burst. I now have to try to avoid all attempts by my human to ride me as I'm afraid she's gonna bust on top of me and I'll be covered in human bits. I'd rather have the singing.

We even made up a rhyme about one of the horses I look after, sung to the tune of Lola
"His name was Magnus, He was a show horse, with floresant ribbons in his mane and a blanket clip down to there"

He's a 17hh scruffy 19yr old shire..... he doesnt apprechiate the song.... but i'm thinking about adding a new verse. bt.w. the flouresant ribbons is from when he was dressed as a draggon for "dragon day" and had to stand in his box with wings, ribbons and painted spots all over him all day... poor boy he suffers alot...

Hahahaa

Glad to know I'm not alone!! I find "rudolf the red nose reindeer" is particularly good for a summers day, or "the sun has got his hat on" is a good when its peeing down with rain and blowing a gale!!

And my all time favourite (set to the star trek song that they always seem to sing in scout gang shows):

"poooo picking, across the universe, wet ones, dry ones, the fresh ones are the worst!"

Your all going to be humming it next time you are wheeling your barrow to the muck heap!!

My horse likes "Just a spoonful of sugar". She pricks her ears and looks happy when I'm singing this....but I'm usually grooming not riding. When I'm riding I just whisper to her that I have Gordon Ramsey on speed dial

My Mummy sang her school hymn all the way through a dressage test once, Jerusalem FFS!! Strangely hypnotic for me though.....
