How do Pikeur jackets fit?

I've got one and it fits beautifully!!

I choose the longer fitting style & it looks lovely!

I have the longer one too as I am 5`9", so need it, and I love how it fits and I did try mine on as the size I thought I am usually, didnt fit, so good job I went along. It all the continental sizes, they are different. I would try first.
 
Whatever you do don't buy unless you try one on. Then order from wherever but they have infinite lengths of sleeve/back/etc and you will never find a perfect fit unless you try them.
We ordered from somewhere beginning with an A who will come up as the cheapest supplier on the internet but who sent totally the wrong size then charged me £40 plus postage to refund the money despite my cancelling the order within hours as he agreed we could.
His sizing was nothing like the person who supplied my daughter's jacket, they were in York I think and a show pony type site. I would google pikeur jackets and look for them, they send you proper measuring charts and we also tried a jacket on.
They also have several different shades of blue, plus optional velvet collars etc.
My daughter has the shorter option (not the Diana) and it's a very good fit for a curvy figure.
 
Wow thank you everyone! HH I'm looking at the A shop..eek. Its a chocolate pinstripe epsom, if I tried on a normal epsom and then ordered it would that work do you think (maybe from a diff retailer!)
 
yeah that would work fine I think, just would advise trying one on as they're pretty expensive.
My mum had no choice in buying me a pikeur because that was the only jacket the shop stocked!
But I love it and it's lasted for years (although the button fell off once annoyingly, but they come with spares)
 
It will work if you try one on, but his sizing was way out, the size 10 we ordered had sleeves to fit a ten year old and was approx a size 6 I reckon. I'll go and see if I can find those lovely people who sold us ours..At least if you have the wrong size they change it.. Oh and pikeur sometimes take weeks to send anything specialised from Germany, your jacket sounds a bit like that...

I have a shortish upper body.In my sig I am in a standard pikeur. (Bear in mind i am 5'4 1/2 on a 16.2hh. )

Thanks prittstick...i'm only allowed wear it at international comps though...under SJAI rules can't wear FEI dress at national comps! wear a grey pinstripe one for national shows but its an Allesandro Albanese not Pikeur. I love the fit of buth (though the AA one is made to measure so it obviously fits well)

Yes I did try one on first, dont think I would buy something as important as a show jacket without trying it on first.

Mine came from Townfields in Coventry which at the time were the cheapest, I knew they were standing at the equine event at stoneleigh, was going anyway so tried one on & bought it without hesitation! Fits lovely!
 
Thanks everyone, I went and tried on jackets today and the area rep happened to be in the shop at the time! If I order now I will have one around May and apparently the colour I want isnt popular at all so I wont look common lol :P
