how do/would YOU manage sweet itch??

hey, someone mentioned benzyl benmzoate for my mare that rubbed off half her mane in one night after escaping from her rambo sweet itch rug, and this has seemed to work very well for her. I apply once a day after being ridden on mane, tail and under belly, in fact, and this has pretty much stopped her itching, thank you whoever it was that suggested it, i bought it online and lasts for ages. I also use a deet gel and slap it on her belly area to stop the midges, i rotate between benzyl and deet, but i fing gels much better than sprays.
 
Rambo Snugg rug has been an absolute god send, then potions wise we alternate between benzyl benzoate and deeet/avon skin so soft

Also using a field with lots of natural shelters seems to help and electric fencing rather than post and rail.
