This is an odd post, kind of like a research post. I know how I back my horses, and have used a few different ways at work on how we back them, started with lunging, long reining etc.

I'm to curious how other people do it, as I see so many ways which I don't agree with, and i'm wondering how many different ways people do it :)

What you do to prepare them for backing is the important part, & varies from horse to horse in specifics. If the horse is properly prepared actually sitting on its back for the first few times should be straightforward.

Thanks guys, I'm just intrigued as I know how I do it and have done it, and everyones different, I always solve any issues in their ground work first, so they dont pick the habits up in the ridden work.
