I appreciate this is not equine related but thought that someone might know the answer.

I was just looking at replacing phones - in true equine style have dropped and cracked my personal mobile.

This site came up on google at the top of the list. The original link showed mazumba mobile - which would make sense, as in a site where you can buy refurbished phones BUT when you click on the link is a different address and the background gives a totally different explanation.

So my cynical head says - there are spelling mistakes, and it seems to good to be true but before I dismissed it out of hand, thought it was worth seeing what you guys thought.

It would be great if it was for real!

I smelled a large rat so don't think it was worth it but thought I would check to see if one of you guys would say "oh, its OK, its got xxx on it which means it is validated".

and as you are still talking £200-£259 not willing to risk it.. or my card details...!!!

I would always be dubious of spelling mistakes on a website for a start.

The next thing I look for is proper contact details, especially as I believe (I may be wrong) that this now have to be included by law. I can't seem to find a contact address or a phone number, which if correct would be ringing very big alarm bells for me.

The old saying 'if it's too good to be true it probably is'

Sorry :(

well - interesting that they know how to manipulate Google - if you type in iphone 4 - this is the first site you see! in fact its a bad link as you click onto one site and get taken to another.

Oh well, I was hopeful but as I work for a company specialising in internet security did have to be realistic!

Not necessarily - unless customisation is switched off or you've cleared the browsing history, Google will be ranking some query results based on your search history (which is not to infer you've been going after a lot of scam sites ;))
