how do you clean your chaps ?

mine are looking a bit grubby now and just wondered how you clean yours,they are the suede ones,can they go in the washing machine or soak in sink ?

Mine are Mountain Horse ones I machine was them but they say you can on the label.

In a bucket of warm water but no soap. Not sure I'd dare put them in the washing machine.

Ive just got the cheap shires suede ones and I put them in the washing machine xx.

I have some cheap dublin ones.

Bucket of warm water with fabric conditioner in, and a stiff brush combined with elbow grease and mine come up nicely.
Not worth washing them though IMO. After 1 day at the yard they become grubby again

Stiff brush and soapy water, rinse well and they come up a treat

I wouldnt use water, stiff brush yes and a cloth. Then spray them once they are clean with that suede protection spray (can't remember the name) but next time the dirt will be easier to brush off! I have funky pruple ones!!!!! x x x

I had some shire ones put them in the washing machine on 40 degree cycle! Though I very stupidly put other things in wash with them and all the color ran now everythin pinky purple!

i wash mine in a bucket of warm water! and if really grubby add abit of washing up liquid but it does fade the colour abit!

I just use a dry dandy brush (vigorously!) on the chaps when they're dry.

I put my suede ones in washing machine. Not sure if I'm supposed to but they seem ok.

I leave mine in the kitchen for the hubby fairy to clean!
