How do you compare horse years to human years?

I remember reading somewhere that at 14 human years Ems roughly 30 in horse years but there doesnt seem to be a direct comparrison like with dog years, anyone got a rough guide?

I was told by an old farrier that is three of theirs to our one, so a ten year old horse= a thirty year old person!

I thought it was 4 yrs for every human year in horses, and 7 yrs for dogs.

I would say 3 years would be pretty accurate.

I'd say 3 as well - I have a 15 year old son and a 5 year old horse - they're pretty similar really. They think they know everything, can be a bit bargy if they don't get their own way, and they fall over their own feet. But I love them both.

I had always thought 3 years too.

3-3.5 would make Bree my 4.5 year old a 14 year old girl, which would seriously explain her behavior around the stallion.
