Interested to know how any of you out there have your horse on full livery and deal with your YO's.
I currently have to have my girl on full due to work commitments, if I could she would be on DIY tomorrow!
Increasingly I am finding out things that have happened with her that have never been communicated to me... an injury reported a day late, feed changed, boxed in a pony stable (she is 17hh plus) whilst i was on holiday etc
I am not one of these 'turn up every six months' owners, I am there at least 5 days a week and try to make it 7 as much as possible, I am reasonably knowledgeable (we can all still learn) having had horses at home most of my life... so its not like I dont want to know about whats happening and to be involved.
Whenever I broach any topic I get defensiveness, an argument or at worst lies... its driving me insane, its like she isnt my horse any more and especially when it comes to injuries it really angers me! It has been suggested before that all the horses at the yard are seen as the YO's rather than the owners - 'my babies' i think the phrase was!
Do you just change yards? I have tried to talk but it just doesnt get anywhere!
Any suggestions/tips very gratefully received!!
Thanks so much!
