..with a vindictive person who is slagging you off to every man and their dog?

She is well connected and people take her opinion on board. I've had the misfortune of seeing the other side of her and it isn't very pleasant.

I did post about her "livery yard" back around Febuary. That shows her in her real light. She is now seeking some kind of revenge because the landowner changed his mind about letting her use his land as a livery.

I'm a bit of an introvert. I don't mix with many people. It's not that I am unsociable, its just that people exhaust me with their dramas. I have a few select friends and that is it.

She knows this and it makes me an easy target. There is not one person in the local horse world that knows me well enough to stand up for me.

I normally wouldnt be bothered but I have now been offered grazing twice for my horses, only for the offer to be withdrawn before I've even met the person. One of them made an excuse that sounded very much like she was involved. Of course, I might just be being paranoid but it is all a bit weird.

Noone should need to stand up for you - only you have to stand up for yourself really if you want to.

I view it as people who talk the loudest to the most, are worth nothing that comes out of their mouth ;) Hopefully people will see that.

Me, I'd ignore it within a certain time period, and if she still keeps up, then seriously lose my rag and say my thoughts of her, along with the livery yard post print out to hand out if I was feeling extremely miffed. Slagging off behind backs is childish immature and nothing irks me more. Say it personally, or don't say it at all.

If you're worried about your 'name' being blacklisted so to speak with land owners, do a trial and give a different variation of your name to start with if you don't them personally. Not a different name altogether, but maybe a maiden name or full/shortened version of your name so if anyone is 'chatting back' to them, they may not realise.

Omg! Why did I not think of that??

I will definitely try that!

Thank you. :)

You're welcome. I don't mean give a false name, as that's just plain lying, but just if there's another 'form' your name which you'd never use normally and she wouldnt think of you immediately with it, then try it :) Ie, Josephine > Josy, Jo, Seph, etc. :)
