When I worked at a riding school we had one exceedingly sharp pony that only good riders could ride, yet he was used for RDA and was a totally different animal, he knew when someone disabled was on him
LOL! Funny isn't it! He mainly did driving, but he's ALWAYS been a nutter, ever since I first met him 20 years ago! I was utterly gobsmacked when I was approached by the RDA group about them having him all those years ago. He's come back to me for his retirement, but as you can see, he's not ready to retire!
Awww great photos! Made me laugh. My mare has a disabled man ride her and she's as good as gold. I'll get on her straight after and she becomes a complete loon and lacks brakes. You look like your dancing in the first photo.

Can I say I honestly wasn't pulling him in the mouth in the second pic! He's very light in front

^^^^ what she said! He is incredibly light and is in a kimblewick for braking only - you have to haul in a snaffle and I don't like that, it's not fair! PF rode him very sympathetically and did eventually get what she was asking for..... walk!
LOL. Hattie does a RDA camp once a year and is a complete dobbin when being led about, they even let her off lead rein with some of the better riders, but if I had been on her she would of tried to piss off and lept about, just like Berry.
I also used to ride an old horse about 24, that did RDA most of his life and he used to bolt across the fields with me kicking up his heels!
Yeap exactly like that. My friend horse does RDA and he is a complete poppet with them, but can buck for Brittan with her. They know who is on their backs and behave accordingly!
There you go PF, the ned knew you were a good rider!

Well, I think, having seen these pictures, you should leave his mane on - for something to hang on to!
PS They get worse with age

Oh, he's very easy to sit on

LOL!! He is very easy to sit on isn't he. You feel totally safe - good job really. As PF can (and a few others who have seen the pics of me riding him on the same day) can atest, I spend most of my time laughing at him when he's like this.
