HOW do you get the chuffing Likits out of the tongue twister??!!

HOW?!!

I have tried sticking screw drivers, hoof picks, spoons etc in the gaps! I have also tried pulling it out with pliers!

I can't for the life of me get the empty holders out.

HELLLPP ME! it's SO frustrating!!
 
There was a boy on a yard I used to work at who helped out at weekends in exchange for lessons, and I kid you not, he used to be able to get them out with his bare hands! Whenever anyone needed one prised out, they would get him to do it, and we would watch in amazement as he used his finger tips and finger nails to pop them out. He could never understand all the drama surrounding it haha
 
Lol. I need him to come to my yard!! It's like they are glued in although they can't be.

It's like they don't want to give up their prime position in the stable.
 
I normally wiggle one side witha hoof pick, then the other and go back and forth between the two until it prises upwards :-(

They are quite helpful if you contact them though, and i think they sell a specific tool but might just be an expensive non horsey tool lol
 
Pliers with long pointy ends do the job, although my pony could remove it himself. Never figured out how he did it but within a few hours of giving him a likit the empty holder would be out on the floor.
 
screw driver down 1 side and a pair of scissors rammed down the other, hold in place with your feet and kinda wiggle it:) accompanied by a lot of swearing, just want to get it flipping out but you gotta be gentle! :p
 
Likit pliers - they're about £5.
I tried everything to get old manky ones out of a likit left in my horses new stable. Switched them round to new ones and he won't touch them ..

I feel your pain-stopped buying the refills&using the ball cos the packaging & removal was such a pita. :( (Someone should redesign the holders,so that there's a horse-proof catch that locks when u push a refill in and which needs depressing/pinching/turning/something, to easily pop the used/empty one out.)
 
It's really easy when you know how. Just take a pair of long nosed pliers, Likit sell a special pink pair and grab the side of the pot, use these to pull out the empty Little Likit pot. If its really stuck in with saliva then you may have to go from side to side gradually easing the pot up. Needs to be firmly in to stop it falling out when in use. Regarding the existing pots. We are aware that they are difficult to open and have been trying to get an effective solution without increasing the amount of packaging or increasing cost and we have finally got a solution that we think will work so please bear with us. Hopefully the new pots will be in circulation around the middle of this year. In the meantime, here's a step by step video showing how to open the pots:

I realise all are not as simple as this, the plastic becomes more brittle when its cold so if you can try to keep your Likits at room temperature they will be much easier to open :).

This is a great idea and we have considered it but we don't want to force everyone to buy a new toy which would be the case if we changed the mechanism as we would need to change the Little Likit pot too, meaning it would not fit in existing Tongue Twisters, Boredom Breakers or Boredom Busters. If we can find something that works with the existing pot then we would be delighted to make the change. But for the time being the long nosed pliers are a really quick and effective way to remove the Little Likit pots.
 
When you buy a kit, they should supply those damn pliers with it. I have to pick off the packaging bit by bit - it's rubbish !

Shy only gets the salty one btw - the only lickit he'll eat.
