How do you go about showing inhand a pony that was rescued and is not passported?

My mum has just rescued a 14h meant to be pure bred new forest but has quite a chunky head and neck so we are not so sure, he has the most gorgeous extended floating trot when in hand so would like to get him out to some local sbhows this summer. He is very eye catching, light chestnut with a flaxen mane and tail. However he is not passported so how could we enter mountain and moorland pure breed as we are not 100%??

It's best to check with the show organisers first. Some local shows allow unregistered and part breds in the M+M classes.

Still have to have a passport whatever you do. Not really into showing, but at local stuff i've never seen anyone show a breed society passport to enter a class anyway.

Firstly I would get a passport, it is illegal to have a horse without a passport, you can gte one from a general issuer like the BHS rather than a bred society. As far as I know, if parentage cannot be proven you will not be able to enter affiliated pure bred classes, again to enter part bred classes you will need at least parentage from mother or father. Some shows also do unregistered M&M classes which you could enter.
