How do you keep your car interior clean?

Towel down in the boot, where my wellies are kept in plastic bag (inside a large tray.) Separate bag for yard coat.

I pay to get it properly cleaned/washed once a month.
 
Last year I spent more money than I had ever spent on anything, on a new car. I told myself it would stay clean as I had spent so much on it and would certainly never get into the state the old trusty 4x4 was in.

It's full of bits of hay, straw (I don't use straw?!) gravel and hair and has smears of dried mud on the dash and the seats. It really could do with a valet but I'm a bit too embarrassed to book it in!
 
car boot organiser off amazon, keeps all the necessities in it like tyre pump, jump leads, clothes i want to keep clean etc. boots get slung into the gap, usually just dry mud that comes off by the time i take them off which hoovers out.

one of those hammock things for the back for the dog, but he still puts muddy paw prints on the top of the back seats. it’s a 3 door, so when he climbs in hypothetically he would get mud everywhere, that’s why i leave all the random cr*p in the footwell for him to step on instead;)

coats get thrown in the boot too or hung on the back of the passenger seat, i don’t like driving in my boots because they catch on my seat because i have tiny legs, so i don’t struggle with the motivation to take them off. i have a boot jack that lives in the car to make life easier though!

edited to add, it’s still a bit gross, but i’m not embarrassed to give people a lift so i’m calling it a win haha.

Yes definitely - my car seats are black leather so they're quite forgiving - a wipe with warm water and they come clean nicely. Foot mats for all seats, and the dog travels in a crate.

I do this. It helps a lot. If I didn't, it wouldn't be long before the mud build up was so great that I couldn't operate the pedals anymore....

I have a dog guard and boot liner (from Travall - they’re amazing) and a couple of tubs, one for muddy things and one for ‘clean’. I change into wellies at the yard then out of them when I finish.

To be honest though, my car is pretty minging and it does smell horsey. I run an old banger for this reason! Between horses, dogs and kids, I couldn’t deal with the added stress of keeping a new one clean ?
 
Everything horsey stays at yard(coats, wellies, gloves). So I arrive in normal clothes, and change to horsey when I get to yard. Makes it so much easier. When I collect horse feed, I've got a plastic fitted boot liner, so that really helps. One feed merchant couldn't believe I had a horse. My car desperately needs cleaning inside and out as it hasn't been done for months, but can't blame horse on that one.
 
Another one that rarely cleans their car. I have heavy duty make and model specific seat covers. My back seat where the soft dog crate is has seat covers then blanket plus towels which get washed periodically.

Inside gets a moderate clean when I have guests or it goes into the garage. The outside rarely it’s sometimes included in servicing. I’ve had two bodywork repairs done in the last 12 months so it got washed then. But that’s an expensive way of getting your car cleaned ?

The car park at the yard is horrible and you can’t change your shoes before getting in your car because your shoes would be ruined in the 3 inches of mud covering the surface if you did. So I constantly tread filth into the car.
 
Mine is a work car so I have to keep it clean in case I end up giving someone a lift somewhere. I live in fear of someone from work seeing it on a bad day. I hoover it every couple of weeks and give everything a wipe down. Coats and boots usually go in the boot on tarpaulin and that's it really.
 
Mine gets an annual muck out before the MOT and I don’t have horses anymore but do have 3 dogs, 2 of them are small terriers so get really muddy , i do try and find a puddle to clean their feet but it’s the Under part of the body that is so filthy, once my lurcher has walked in a puddle he looks spotless. Today the river had burst its banks and was over the path so we walked until it was up to their middles so I ended up with clean, soaked dogs….I do have waterproof seat covers in front and the back seats are foldEd down and I have blankets and towels on the floor and they are all in crates with towels in.. I do wash all the blankets and towels quite regularly otherwise it smells awful..
 
I struggle with this too. Its part of the reason I’ve put off buying a better car...... I have the best intentions on keeping it clean it just never happens. I have found that waterproof seat covers help a lot as for the hay and shavings i give up trying to keep it out. When I can be bothered I get it valeted, with a good tip and a apology for the man who comes out
 
I try and keep my 2010 Insignia clean as it was my Dad's pride and joy and had only done 37,000 miles when he died. So I promised I'd clean it reguarly and put it through the car wash. It does get cleaned but the car wash is now £8 a time and finding time to vacumn it with the dark mornings/dark nights is near impossible.

Boot covers and back seat covers..cover everything then chuck them in the washing machine
Still dirty but it helps ??
