I've had my Ariat Grasmeres for 10 months now but I haven't given them much TLC. I gave them a quick wipe over the other day (just with some damp kitchen roll, as it's all I could find) and beneath all the dirt, they don't look too bad. So this has inspired me to give them the care and attention they deserve by giving them a good clean up.

So how do you look after yours? What products do you use? And also what do you apply products with?

I have to admit I don't own a pair of Ariat Grasmeres - I wish I did. However, I did used to work for the company that make Cherry Blossom and specialise in treating footwear.

The best thing you can do - at any time - is to give them a good clean with a leather cleaner (I would include Saddle Soap in that category) and then treat them with a leather cream. This, essentially, replenishes the leather and helps it to remain supple and helps prevent them leather drying out and splitting (they will all split eventually but this should elongate the life of them). After this you need to re-proof the leather if you wear them all year round. You should be able to buy a spray to do that from your local saddlery or outdoor shop. Grangers and Nikwax do a version.

Hope this helps

I have had mine years, tend to wipe them over with saddle soap, whilst cleaning tack. As they are Gortex you need to be careful what you put on them as they need to breathe. Mine are still as new leather wise, soles and heels wearing down:D

Hi, I've had mine two years now and have to say they still look just as good as they did when I first got them, although I am a bit precious with them!

I use Nikwax suede protector on the suede to keep it waterproof, and i used to use normal brown boot polish on the leather, but found it was too dark so bought the Ariat polish instead. I religiously use the boot trees they came with and keep them in a boot bag.

I wore mine to work all last winter to keep my feet warm in the snow - I work in an office! (I was pregnant mind!);)
