Give it something else to love :)

After the horrendous loss of our Shetland Barney I didn't really want another Shetland but I had a little girl who really missed him and her section A is too young to back so...

And a little vid. She didn't know anything about it ;)

So cute! Why is it I can look at mega cute kids without getting broody, but show me a tiny with a pony & I go all gooey?
...toddles off to ponder if buying a shettie is a good enough reason to pregnant.

I just spat my tea on the iPad. Thanks a lot :D

He's never been ridden til today, had a few kids plonked on his back now and again and has been very very well socialised. He acts like a seasoned lead rein! Put a saddle on him when I got home tonight and he wasn't bothered about that either. I think he is going to be fab!

Aaaaaawwwwwwwwww... Love at first sight. Cute little critter.. Oh no, did I just say a Shetland was cute  and what a beautiful happy little girl.. Congratulations and enjoy.:)

He is mega sweet, your daughter looks so happy with him too. I'll do you a deal, in a few years I'll do a temporary swop, your daughter borrows our 11.1, I'll have your pony for the second child I have just decided I need. Although plan depends totally on how much boyfriend has had to drink at the pub.

I know, I am going to have to stop saying all Shetlands on the planet are horrible because he is such a sweetie. I have kissed a lot of Shetland frogs to get to a prince tho!!

And if anyone is interested, he was "free to a 5* home", so it does sometimes work out well for everyone to give them away!

That is a great idea, and I have a very nice Sec A your first born could have the ride of for a couple of years as well :p:D

FFW that pony is just fabulous :D The video shows a happy little girl and a pony who has landed on his hooves :) LL what will you do if the 2nd offspring is a boy who hates ponies?

He won't be allowed to hate ponies yorksG, honestly I wonder about you sometimes :D:p

I can't quite believe how lucky I was to get him or how good he is. He keeps up with you on the lead rein and I can hold her and he will keep walking/stop if I stop. I don't usually hold her but since we were backing him in an afternoon in a residential street with no tack I thought I'd better hang on lol

Does this mean you get your baby or a guarantee that you don't!

my friend has 3 kids, the oldest is a girl, the other 2 are boys. her husband is field master. All 5 hunt when school permits. Friend maintains that both boys are somewhat ambivalent about horses and riding, unless the can leave the house and get on a ready to go pony and go hunting. She says you have to do it all for them to keep them interested.

And I've never, ever met 3 such brave, capable stylish young riders either. All 3 (particularly the middle one) are candidates for "Thruster of the Week" in H&H in future years!

gorgeous pony FW, definitely all landed on your feet :)

I'm the same, except with me it's little welsh sec As. I'm small enough to school one in between my imaginary child riding one

I cried!!

Her wee face is the cutest, such a happy girlie! That's me sold, I'm definitely getting my son a shettie, maybe for his 3rd birthday haha :p

That is exactly what my friend says about her two little ones, 1 year and 2 years older than mine. The boy likes to ride but nothing else where as the girl likes the whole thing. Funny!

I am very pleased I got him, I think he will improve her riding and independence a lot as she can catch him herself (and she told me she could get on him herself too!) and I won't be so worried about her getting stood on or falling off the 13.2 she also rides! The other thing is her legs hang down nicely like an adult instead of being bent out at the hips on a far too wide pony. So I think he's a hit!

We shall see re LL offspring :D

He seemes very unfazed by it all, I have a friend with a coloured mini, who goes to PC camp and is treated as a major celeb :D He also drives and comes on some of the fancy dress do's with his cart :D Will see if I can dug out some pics :D

Awww:). Get him a mini for his first birthday! I wish I had her, she will out grow this lad too quickly really she had a standard shettie first for two years (she is 4 in April and very tall).

I am thinking LL could adopt a likely candidate!!

He is totally chilled. The only thing he looked twice at were drains, which is fine as his wee feet would slip down so best he avoids them!!

Pics would be great!
