Weekly, Monthly or even annually? Do you pay cash, cheque, charge or direct debit?

Just being nosey!

Monthly by standing order, comes out on my pay day and I can just forget about it! Never understand why people at my yard don't do the same... I certainly could not be bothered (or organised enough

) to hunt down my YO to pay by cash every month

I can pay monthly or weekly, I prefer to pay weekly as my bill can vary & I also con myself that it isn't costing me as much as it really is to keep him.

Direct debit ever 28th of the month. Shoes cash in the tin one week before hand, lessons cash after the lesson and everything else is invoiced which I write a cheque for.

I think that answers your question and a little more

I started off paying monthly by cheque, but YO was so useless at doing bills it was messing up my finances completely, so I've now persuaded her to let me pay monthly by direct debit, with extras like shoeing paid by cheque.

I used to pay by Direct Debit in advance at the beginning of the month.

Since moving yards, I now pay cash at the beginning of the month. Actually seeing the cash physically leave your hand hurts far more than Direct Debit ever did.
But, being at a much better yard more than makes up for it.
