I can pay monthly or weekly, I prefer to pay weekly as my bill can vary & I also con myself that it isn't costing me as much as it really is to keep him.

I did pay by cheque, but have set up a standing order now. That way YO knows the money is there!

Direct debit ever 28th of the month. Shoes cash in the tin one week before hand, lessons cash after the lesson and everything else is invoiced which I write a cheque for.

I started off paying monthly by cheque, but YO was so useless at doing bills it was messing up my finances completely, so I've now persuaded her to let me pay monthly by direct debit, with extras like shoeing paid by cheque.

We get people to pay in monthly standing orders - otherwise I'd forver be chasing people for money! And in this day of internet transfers any extras like wormers get electronically transferred over too!

I used to pay by Direct Debit in advance at the beginning of the month.

Since moving yards, I now pay cash at the beginning of the month. Actually seeing the cash physically leave your hand hurts far more than Direct Debit ever did.
But, being at a much better yard more than makes up for it.
