How do you plait your manes up??

Was going to answer your question with 'with difficulty!';) Plaiting not my forte, and definately not on my mares' thick mane.

But, that photo looks great, may have to practice that!!
 
I like the two rows of plaits for really thick manes :-)

I often wonder as I have never really done showing and if I have it's just standard plaits and stuff, can you actually do fancy plaits and stuff? Is there any time when you can't? I like those spanish waterfall plaits but could you only do that on an appropriate breed? If it was a child's pony or something would they really mind?

I can do loads of fancy plaited styles in human hair so could probably come out with something really elaborate for fun but would everyone make fun of me?!
 
I reckon it's as easy as normal plaits tbh, & it would look good on longer manes too. Will show daughter tonight, that's her kind of thing, done normal, stallion & lattices so far.
 
See I'm not so keen on how the palomino one is done, think it's the big loops between the plaits. I may give it a go but do short and shallow loops :)

That valentine mane is FAB! :D :D

ETA- I also think it does look quite easy, only trial and error will tell! I may give it a go tomorrow night, take a pic and show you all, see what you think :D
 
It looks easy to me as well LL, looks good way of handling long manes.

Id stick to regular plaits for showing mandwhy and have some fun with plaiting for other parties :)
