Pidge had his back done today and was a tad sore on his back just where the back of the saddle sits, and was dipping down a couple of inches when my back lady pressed his back

When she had finished treating him she could press his back and he didn't flinch

I think its amazing really and would love to learn more but in reality would rather leave it to the professionals!
She's coming back in 2 weeks as he needs a bit more tweaking.

I have to admit than I am in awe of these professionals. My physio is much the same - the difference she made to my boy had to be seen to be believed!!

Toto had his back done a few weeks ago and we were amazed at how much better he was , he was quite sore for a couple of days then decided he felt good and was on his toes for a couple of days and now he is lovely and calm and not nearly as spooky , tense and nappy as he used to be

so very pleased and glad I had her out ( it was Mc timmony that he had )

Is it RC (as recommended by Patches)? Think she is marvellous and made huge difference to Marco, more so than other physio people who have treated him.

certainly is

she is fab

She also said she has noticed a big difference in his hindquarter muscles since she came out at the beginning of August, has built up a lot

No problems with his hock spavin either, just a few where the back of the saddle goes which she has dealt with and given me exercises to do until she comes back out.

Lance had physio a few months back, really sorted his back, and mctimoney, really sorted his pelvis!!

we are lucky to have them on site most of the time

I use to use Andy Andrews - he was fantastic, unfortunitly he died a few years back. I haven't found anyone who even comes close to Andy's abilities

When Super nearly drowned in an large pond, she got stuck deep in the mud and in trying to struggle free she pulled her shoulders and neck. When I brought her to see Andy, I had to drag her from the horsebox to the stable to see him - poor thing was unable to walk! He looked at her and without touching her, knew what was wrong! When he finished working on freeing her shoulders and neck she was like a prancing lamb and dragged me back to the horsebox!! He was fantastic, if he didn't do any work on the horse he didn't charge and even when he did he was very reasonable!

Was that RC who treated him?

I would like her to come out to mine again soon. She's fab and I went from a cynic to a convert when I saw the difference in mine.

The back lady we're talking about actually lives in Ireland now, but I'm not sure where. She comes over to the mainland frequently to treat.

The first chiropracter I used I was very unimpressed with, he just looked at my horse in the stable, poked at her and said she needed a massage for which he recommended his girlfriend! He's quite widely used though and I don't know why people go to him?

There's not a huge choice over here! The second guy I used was brilliant, really got on well with the horses, watched them moving and being ridden and made a huge difference.

I was going to get my young horse done by him but then my instructor recommended a chiro he uses who flies over from Australia every few months. So I brought her to him and he was amazing. He just knew everything about my horse from looking at her overall development and structure, he even told me exactly how she was to ride even though he'd never seen her ridden. He found she had a very badly torn hamstring which she probably did years ago and which she had been compensating for since, resulting in other problems. She had been a different horse since, had a lesson the other week for the first time since she had the work done and my instructor couldn't believe she was the same horse. She's much happier in herself aswell. He was expensive though, twice as much as the old chiro, but definately worth it. I rate him very highly and am bringing my other horse to him next time he's over

Yes Patches it was RC who treated him and she's back in England now (as of last week)
She is coming back out to Pidge in 2 weeks do you want me to let you know when she is out as its not far from me to you?

Use Mark Windsor, he was fantastic, when Rosie was lame and they thought the previous back person had trapped nerve we went to him, he looked at Rosie checked her back and said her lameness was caused by her front left leg, not the right hind which she was lame on.. advised x-rays, had x-rays done and she had fractured her splint.. amazing bloke

she is still with him as he was here yesterday, they have both moved back here as he has changed jobs again and is now over here.

My vet is a back specialist so he is always my first port of call. He is utterly fantastic and has just been out to my boy this morning to give him a once over before he comes back into work.

Pinpointed an old muscle injury in his bum that won't cause him any problems.
