How do you rug this?

This may be a silly question (probably is) but I was just wondering how you would be rugging Gem as the weather gets warmer, she generally stays quite warm, and so would normally be turning her out naked when the weather starts getting warmer, but what with her bald patches (when I say bald, I mean, proper surgical clip down to the skin no hair what so ever) I am not sure what to do, I think she may get a bit too warm in her rainsheet, but I don't think I should turn her out naked, what would you do?
I know I am jumping the gun a bit as we probably won't have any nice weather for a while lol, but I just want to be prepared?
This is her clip, to give you an idea, it is exactly the same on both sides, note the fact her hock is still clipped out from November when she sprained her hock, and the trace clip that is growing out was done in October...who thinks she's going to be stuck looking like this for a while!! (poor girl lol!)

TBH J, if the weather is nice and warm and sunny I would chuck her out naked - her back is covered, as is her backend, just keep an eye on her. Failing that then it will have to be a rain sheet as I'll bet your ground will still be damp even if the weather is nice.
 
I would say flysheet as at least that will protect her baldy bits from the sun (dont know if she could get burned as she is not a pinky though)!!

See I was thinking that, but then someone on the yard made me worry about her having no protection from the sun, and flies. Yeah a fly sheet is a good plan, reckon I will have to go for that, I do hope it grows back enough this summer, so that she can go out naked for a while.

She's not really changed, no better but no worse. She's had a couple more coughing fits while outside and my vets think they will have to put her on steroids. Thanks for asking.

I find they sweat less in a slightly filled rug eg Fal 40g than they do in an unfilled rainsheet, the skin seems to be able to breathe more.

We found the same with a cob at my yard, now have a premier equine with a bit of filling
