How do you saddle a bum-high youngster?

As I put in the other post, forget sticky pads and riser pads, it's not impossible to fit bum high horses, and many natives and cobs stay bum high their whole lives as they have no wither! I tend to fit as short in the seat as possible and very flat in the tree, as removing flock from the back to keep the cantle down can make the fit of the saddle more curvy and it may lift at the back. I then flock up the front to bring it into balance, beware of the saddle being too narrow just to get it in balance.
