How do you search for livery??

After the development of websites such as livery list, and livery finder. I was wondering, do you use this, or how do you generally search for a livery yard. Or are people more old school by going on adverts in their local tack shop??
 
Well Livery List crashed and lost all its database, so unless yards have re-input their details, there isn't much on there.

If I was to be looking for a different livery yard, I'd go by word of mouth if I was in the area. If I was moving to a new area, I'd probably post on here now.

When I moved to a different area before, I looked on the BHS website for an approved yard .... fat lot of good that did me, it was worse than bad!!!
 
Good Old Friday ad I used to find livery yards, just because each paper is for local and surrounding areas to where you live. Word of mouth or the present yard im at now, I was driving past to my old yard, noticed these big lights on the front of a barn so one day drove up this lane to see what it was, a new livery yard. Sometimes you just have to be nosey to find the best places!!
 
I'd second asking on here.
I also just did Google searches of 'livery + the area I wanted', Preloved, word of mouth and just asking at likely looking places.
 
google - and drive round EVERYWHERE.

i looked on preloved too :)


definately drive round though and go mither farmers lol!!

im (thankgod)! settled now.... :) and will never move again in a hurry but definately drive :)
