How do you store your rugs/stuff

I store clean rugs in one of those big plastic garden chests you can get at DIY or Garden centres. Those in use are in a bit of a heap on top of said chest in my tack room! Its the equivalent of the chair in the corner of my bedroom.

shires do rug storage bags that are quite good-just make sure they're clean before you put them in! Otherwise get a rug rack for dirty rugs and hang them on that

I use these Dimpa bags from Ikea - About £4 each and they've changed the shape recently so much more rug shaped!

The zips aren't totally brilliant but if it's for storage and you don't need to go in to them very often they'll last several winters/summers. Each bag will take about 3 stable rugs or 2 outdoors if not more!

I have just got some large plastic containers from wilkos (or similar shop) horse in 6ft9 rugs, so can only get one or two in dependant on weight, but they store well in my garage!

I have 2 large plastic green garden trunks from Homebase or somewhere like that for stable rugs/ show rugs etc etc (you can fit loads in there), dirty outdoor rugs I keep in big plastic trough thing when they are not being used, also have a cupboard with shelves rugs are folded up in and one of those 4 arm rug racks for drying rugs/ storing extra night rugs and blankets on. (As you may be able to tell I have way too many rugs!..) really recommend the plastic garden boxes though.

this is a rug rack

Derby House has them in-they're brilliant, but not the cheapest option

All my rugs are stored, clean, in my attick - babbed.

Dirty ones are stored in the hay barn at the yard until I take them to be cleaned.

My friend & I have just bought one of these each. Its great & takes plenty of rugs, although nothing like ALL my rugs I may add!!

However, I try to only put away clean rugs or those that are lightly used like travel rugs, coolers, exercise sheets etc. Current dirty in use rugs get hung up over a rug rack so they stay dry with air circulating.

I use one of these for everyday things that I need access to - travel rug , boots etc
I also have 2 similar boxes from B&Q that don't have a hinged lid but can be stacked - I store rugs I'm not using in these.

My wet rugs go on rug racks.

I put my rugs in an old chest freezer - an industrial sized one. Clean ones go in their bags then into the freezer.

Current ones (like the ones they are wearing atm are hung up. Blacksmith made me some massive steel hooks. My feed room is an old grain store (metal walls) and he made hooks to go over the top of them. I can get 3/4 rugs on each one. Its high enough so that none of them trail on the floor.

I have four laundry pulleys and keep my rugs folded hanging on them

And if they are wet the warmth of the horses in the stable will dry them out quite quickly if they are spread out.
