I never suffer from cold feet at the yard since I got my Dubarrys

They aren't "quite" as fool proof when I'm in a boat, but it's much colder on the water, and you're sat dead still.

some people just have colder feet than others, all depends on your circulation i think. I usually have thermal socks on with a thin pair on top and my thermal boots on, its my hands that usually suffer the most

i usually have on of a weekend...2pairs of gloves, 2 pairs of pants, 2 pairs of socks (1 thermal one thin) tshirt, jumper, fleece then coat, silly bobble hat (mandetory at our yard to have silly hat!

Dont wear tight foot wear, doesn't matter how many pairs of warm socks you have on, if your feet are a bit too cosy (tight) in your boots, then it reduces the circulation and your feet will never be warm.

So if you want lots of nice warm wooly socks on make sure your boots can accomodate them.

Try wearing tights under your jods, with just one pair of socks, it works wonders for me.

Agree with this, I buy wellies a size too big so I can wear plenty of layers - would typically where thin socks, then tights, then another pair of thin socks then a pair of man size ski socks - man size so they fit comfortably over all the other layers!

I do the same with gloves - wear two pairs of cheap wooly magic gloves and then a pair of thin cotton riding gloves a couple of sizes too big over the top. Since both these types of glove can be bought for £1-2 I bought loads of them and change for a dry pair as soon as they get wet/filthy. I keep a stockpile of clean dry gloves in the car and tack room.
