I am so happy :D **very happy post!**

Delicia hasnt been on proper field turnout since august last year, with her lameness and treatment and then the loss of good grazing, she has been either in her stable or a sand pen. She has had a few turnout in a grass pen at the old yard but due to her rearing and then trashing the pens, that soon stopped.

I recently moved dee to a new yard (yesterday, so very recent!) despite it being a shock to the system getting up @ 7am this morning to muck out (which i loved :D :D ;D ), the highlight has to be turning dee out for the first time.

She was booted up, and i must say i was nervous as hell about her injuring herself being a prat. So i ask you all.....how does a horse who hasnt been turned out for 6 months react?

They look bemused and sniff the grass

A very happy pony to say the least! I am so happy to have moved her closer to home! I am loving having the control back, have made friends already (all the other liveries are a delight!) and the YO is wonderful and has really bent over backwards as we moved 1 week after giving out notice in. :)

One thing i would say, is dee apparently had a party in her stable last night, and everyone was invited :D.

:D

it's good isn't it? I moved my horse last weekend after having to be in fOr 2 months - I love seeing her grooming horses, cantering around and being a normal horse again!!!

Dee looked a little shocked to begin with (which made me sad :( ), but soon realised what to do. A few more days of individual turn out and ill slowly start to introduce her to a friend :)

There is no friesian... That's a Hanoverian and she's mine. :)

I know THAT isn't a Friesian!!! There is a trailer in one of your photos with the KFPS logo on the side, wondered who's it was and if I knew them, we are a close knit bunch, us Friesian owners.

OH!! haha sorry i didnt realise :)

I dont think its anyones at the yards. The YO runs a lorry/trailer business on the site :)

Just got back from bringing dee in and bedding down for the night :)

She was superb to catch and hose down. Putting her in her box and taking the headcollar off the sodding horse pivoted on her hind leg and was out the door before i could shut it properly!!! :O

Its ok though, she only went to her feed room :D so was marched back to her box pronto. ;)

She is a little on her toes, which is normal for dee. And is find it great fun being a hooligan with her feed.

Haha - I did think for a moment that you had lost the plot Maiko! but no - you are incredibly observant :D

Glad to see D being a horse again
