Just wondering, I don't own a trailer nor box, and I'm constantly having to hire out a driver with a lorry (I don't trust myself) But its so expensive (as is everything to do with horses) Just wondering what everyone else does, and how people manage to get to shows every week with the price being so high?

Used to have a 4x4 and borrow a friends trailer. Decided I wanted my own transport so got myself a 7.5 tonne lorry. I'm useless at driving it, so my OH is horses chauffeur :)

I've never had to transport one, but considering getting a bigger car so I can borrow/buy a trailer, however I find the thought of it very scary especially with loading/unloading by myself as well!

I have a little lorry. I got my licence and drive it. Very simple and easy but fuel is pricey :( The test costs a bit too. Worth it in the long run as has made many a show, move and vets trip much easier

Hey poo :P

and I have only just learned to drive and have a Fiesta, so no chance of me getting a trailer/lorry anytime soon :/ I wouldn't trust myself enough.

I'm a bit funny about trailers, just because of the horror stories I've read in the past about them, I've scared myself, not against other people with them, just wouldn't fancy one of my own, if that makes sense?

I have a land rover and bought an old rice trailer last year. Still to take my towing test.

I'll be looking to go out at least once a month - to better hacking or to a competition.

I did transport someone's pony for them tonight, with them sitting beside me. VERY exciting as I wasn't sure how I'd do towing, but I found it to be easy (taking my time). :D:D:D
