...when I am about to take her for a walk? When I got up at 6.15 a.m. today the world looked lovely, all frosty and beautiful so I decided to take my two dogs for an early walk. We normally go out after breakfast so I don't see how the smallest dog could possibly have read my mind when I came downstairs

She was leaping all around me which is what she does when it is time for walkies. My big dog just lay and looked at me but then the enthusiasm of the small one got to her too and she started to walk round the kitchen in anticipation.

I honestly hadn't done anything other than think, "It's a lovely morning so we'll go out early today". I hadn't gone towards the places where I keep my coat, hat, dog leads, treats etc so how on earth did the little dog know what was coming, unless she actually is a mind reader

They must have looked out the window and decided THEY would like an early walk this morning - so they beamed that thought over to you.

The same thing used to happen with my collie cross. I'd be slumped on the sofa & I would swear I didn't move a muscle, but the moment I thought about getting up and walking the dog, he would start bouncing around... Either he was reading some bit of body language too subtle for humans to see, or he was mind-reading!
