How early can a horses boosters be done?

I'm just wondering as i am on a real saving mission at the moment with my horse to get some cash behind me for winter which has been hard as i am usually able to put a bit away over summer but he has been on box rest so costing me even more!

The vets bills are currently being paid for by my insurers and i wondered if next time the vet comes out i could ask him to do boosters early saving me a call out in a couple of months?
Obviously i will have to pay for the jab but will save about £30 that way!

To compeat under FEI rules I think you need to have your horse vaccinated every 6 mounths (someone correct me if i'm wrong ). So i don't think afew mounths early will matter. But i would speak to your vet and see what they say. Hope this helps.

Im bringing one of mine early a month so dont pay 2 calls outs and 2 out of 3 horses fit together shame 3rd pony is 6 mths after other 2.

When we got our two in November, one had just had his done in his old home, the other was due February. Had the vet out to microchip and he suggested to do the other's vaccinations so next time he could do b oth at the same time.

Slightly OT, but a vet practise near here has started doing free call outs on certain days, provided you book the appointment 24 hours in advance.....I think its a great idea, and saves worrying about tying every visit together....

Other than that, if you have transport, can you take your horse to the vet....also saving on call out charge...
