Doing my very first in-hand show with F soon, but what is an acceptable time to turn up before your class ?

My class is at 11.00, and it will take us half an hour of chilled walk to get there. Once we get there both me and the girl I am hacking with will have to get changed into show gear, I'll have to change F's bridle.

Depends if the show runs on a timed schedule, you can allow roughly half an hour per class but I have been caught before when the judge [naughty] has moved straight on to a further class if there are no entries. Possibly 9 to 9 30 leave? that gives you the walking, changing time plus time to collect numbers find rings, take pics, chat to mates and acclimatise ponies.... Enjoy!! Pictures please!

Thanks

Starting at 11.00

class 7 -Arab and part bred arab youngster - filly or colt under 4 years
class 8 - Arab or part bred arab in-hand - over 4 years
class 9 - Arab or part bred arab under saddle.

I am doing class 8, so it might be starting at 11.30, So we should be arriving at 10.15am that gives us just over an hour

I always aim to arrive 1 hour before I'm due in the ring. The difficulty is working out what time my class will be in the ring! You are hacking there & changing into show clothes when you get there???? Have you done this before? Could you not wear your show clothes with 'protective' clothes on top? Then you only have to take off the protective clothes, less hassle especially if the weather's bad.
