Hi all!
I have decided to apply for the BRS and NHC this year (I sent in my applications a few days ago). I am wondering now, how hard is it actually to get into the foundation course for both? How high demand is this course? And do I even have a shot of getting in with 8years of riding experience but no current gcse grades as I haven't taken them yet?

Thank you xx

Good luck though you'd need to choose one as you can't really do both foundation courses (both offer apprenticeships straight away and the only difference between the two is location really.)

There is alot of applications but the interview they decide on what's next. You can do the course without GCSEs as they offer functional skills to study alongside of it. But note you do have to be 16+ for the course. Make sure to bring photos or videos to the interview of you riding, they'd probably put you on the 12 weekers but a few people on my previous course imho probably should've been on the 12 week than the 18 week but obviously the schools have their reasons. Although I have heard some students have trials but mine was a more relaxed "Week Exp" rather than an actual trial but it doesnt happen all the time. Good luck

They want people who are hard working and eager to learn. The course is very demanding
