As title really, Jumping Baby Ice on sunday, a little bigger than she is normally comfortable, she flew over it and put in a happy little buck on landing. I was quite forward over compensating from where I normally get left behind, then the little happy buck and I kept going.

Sitting just behind her ears with my reins the wrong side of round her neck I was sure it was going wrong, she normally is quite volitile when confused. Of course, the whole yard was outside pottering about and stopped to watch me jump baby!!

Bless her, she slowed down and stopped, rather than stopping abruptly or I'd have definately gone!! Then she lifted her head right up and tumbled me back into the saddle! I could feel her little baby neck straining with my bulk but she did it!! She waited nicely while I got the reins sorted and got off to check her saddle was in the right place then took a very wobbly nervous mommy over the jump nicely.

I never thought when she was a savage wee beastie trying to kill everyone that she would be that kind to me ever!!

She's finally figured it out!! I can't ride very well but I do buy treats, so if she makes me look good and doesn't drop me, she gets treats!! I was beginning to dispair, Beau always makes me look good, she figured it out ages ago!!

Pointless post really just embarrassed and proud all at once!!

What a darling! How sweet of her to stop and think what had gone wrong and tried to fix it rather than having another bronk about it!! Well done for sticking on too!

Oh, similar thing happened to me on a hack last year - my beastie got over excited about the wild ponies calling to each other and he did a big leap, straight in to a handstand - I ended up stuck infront of the saddle with my hands braced just behind his ears. Luckily he didnt tank off, and lifted his head so I could wriggle back very ungracefully into the saddle, red in the face, swearing in a very unladylike fashion ..... then I saw the group of dog walkers standing watching .... oh the shame!

Ahh she loves you xx :D

Bless! I got lambasted on here last year when my boy bucked and sent me flying up to his ears, thought I was done for. He reared and put me back in the plate.

A few months on and it's all good fun.

Just glad you are enjoying your pony.

Aw bless her how well behaved. My usually sane cob ended up with me sat round his head after a refusal at a jump and then proceded to tank off round the arena. Managed to stay on but needless to say he scared himself so much that wouldn't go near any other jumps.
