We had a piggy on my yard when I arrived and no one had any issues but then pigpig was more like a dog..
How extreme are reactions to pigs?

That's it: the horses which have been socialised with pigs are used to them and have fewer issues with them. If you decide to introduce pigs gradually to your horse, then offer your horse its favourite treat so that it associates pigs with good things. :thumbup: :smile4:

I have had two ponies that did not like pigs. The only way to get them past was by making them walk backwards
. One was quite happy to walk forward when we had past the pigs, the other would not walk forward until we had gone past their field, even after he had gone past the pigs.
