How far away is your yard to your home?

Now we are 1.8 miles before the move it was 18 miles each way twice a day. We moved this time into our 21st home in 22 years to be nearer the horses all the other moves OH's job moves due to the army. Been in this house just over 5 years nearly the longest in any one house

12 miles and it's a right pain in the ar$e.

The yard facilities are good and the price is reasonable and I would be happy to stay there were it not for the constant interference from the YO and some other people.

Apparently, I don't give my horse enough water, or enough hay. She is a good doer so I was being a bit cautious with the hay as she was slightly over weight, but now I've increased the hay under pressure and now she is fat, and that is apparently because now she is in foal and I'm being bullied into having her scanned by the vet. I don't ride her correctly, I don't lunge her correctly and neither my horse nor I can break wind without someone rushing over to tell us we're doing it wrongly.

I am sick to death of this yard and on a waiting list for one a mile from my house and pray fervently that a space will come up soon! If anyone at this new yard starts to say "What are you doing with.....?" I will give them a chilling death ray stare so they back off!! :p

At the moment about 30 paces away but if the nice men currently measuring up can manage it there will be a bridge from the first floor landing to the American barn's top floor soon:D

About 15 minute walk or 5 mins in the car. As the crow flies its quite close but have to drive all the way round a huge golf course to get there!

When I was in the uk the yards I was at were between 30 min and 1 hour walk.
Now, The yard my boy is at is 80 km away, or about an hours drive each way.
There rent nice yards closer to us, so I'm trying to persuade my OH to move closer to the horse.
Kx

20 mins (about 12 miles), it's a bit further than I would prefer but the hacking is awesome and they do full grass livery so I only have to turn up and ride! :D

About 10 seconds! View from kitchen table:

DISCLAIMER: NOT taken today :D

Usually about a 10 minute drive, but inaccessible since Friday's snow as the lane (about a couple of miles) is quite steep, narrow and a sheet of ice!! You could walk if you were careful, but as I'm recovering from pneumonia, probably not a good idea at the moment :(

20 mins each way, used to be 5 but now have school/help/hay straw feed on tap/lunge pen/great hacking/good social life - worth the extra 30 mins per day in the car
