How far do you travel to yard?

My closest owners live 3 minutes away by car, the furthest ones over 2000 miles.

My nearest paddock is 10' from the back door, the barns are a few steps across the back yard.
 
My mare is about 15 mins away by car and my youngster is about 25 mins away but I only have to go to him twice a week. He is out 24/7 and checked twice a day by YO.
 
Currently a 30 mile round trip (1 hour in car) - which is a pain whenI have to go twice at the weekend, especially with exorbitant diesel costs these days :(

My mare is happy - so I make the sacrifice, but I think I am going to have to go on assisted DIY as I can't afford the cash outlay on fuel. Looking for a place nearer home (we moved last June) - but that's proving easier said than done
 
About 10 minutes by car, a bit less usually if I have a heavy foot! I moved briefly from this farm to a livery yard that was 10 miles away, soon got sick of the drive I have to admit, but I didn't much like the yard either so the extra miles just weren't with it for me!
 
my horses are 5 mins drive away. I was on a yard for a while that was a 20 min drive, it just got too expensive with fuel and felt like I spent half the day in the car!
