I feel really far away now as my two are 1hr 30 mins pretty reliably from me but I wouldn't move them as I have an excellent trainer and it's where he's based. It's a mixture of inner city roads, A roads and country lanes so a real mix. However, it still beats the distance before which was across the Atlantic ocean

18 miles, mainly motorway. Glad I'm not the furthest as sometimes think I must be mad. But what I spend in petrol is made up for in resonable livery rates and peace of mind.

3 miles up single track road to next village! There is a farm that does DIY 100 yards from my front door but no school so no good in the winter, shame as it has better hacking than where they are at the moment.

He's my share horse so i probably wouldn't choose to travel quite so far if i could help it but

23 miles. Takes me 25-30 mins, dual carriageway all the way up until last 5 mins which are down country roads so not too bad.

Saying that, the yard is fabulous, got sooo many great facilities and excellent hacking, not sure if there is one as good nearer me so if i get my own horse may even keep it down there as it's worth the drive.

31 miles - 50 mins when no traffic and over an hour in traffic! ended up needing to move quickly from 16 miles / 25 mins away and couldn't find anything nearer in the time i had. would love to be nearer home though - very envious of the people who can walk to their horse!

1.4 miles from being parked on the driveway at home, to my parking spot at the yard right outside the barn. Takes about 4mins on village roads.

I travel about 50 minutes but I dont need to go every day as he lives out and is on assisted DIY. I moved from having him 10 minutes down the road to where he his now which is pony paradise as far as he is concerned so totally worth it to have such a happy pony.

Also hacking is fantastic and I can hack to RC rallies and shows which I could not do before so better all round really.

7.2 miles, 15 mins down country lanes. Its the only yard with all year turnout and an indoor school for miles around, most expensive though too for a DIY yard!
