How far do you travel to your yard?

30 minutes. Moved him there years ago and then moved house. He gets unsettled quite easily and it takes him a year to settle properly really. So I'll keep him there :)

3 minutes walk from front door to stable door - across the village green. We found our new house and the seller said there was a card in the shop window saying Livery wanted!!

Its the horses third move in a year but its got lovely grazing which has been my priority. No menage but just negotiated with polo yard 5 minutes walk on the third side of the village green and can use theirs (for a fee of course)

Just up the 3 steps outside the kitchen door. Just before we came to live here, the horses were at a friend's place foe 3 months 3/4 hr's drive away from my home. It nearly killed me and certainly would have done if I'd had to go twice a day.

Ours are just at the bottom of a small field at the end of the garden.

Used to have my mare on full livery before that was a ten minute drive (perhaps ten miles?). It wasn't an issue as she was on full livery. Round here, if my horse was on DIY I would want to be able to walk there easily if the roads were blocked (which has happened a few times in the last few winters). Well, as easily as snow will allow, but you know what I mean!

15 mins by car, only 4-5 miles but hilly and twisty, single-lane back roads. Nightmare in winter!! Would be prepared to travel further for the right yard though.

Our neighbours moved their horses from fields a 2 minute walk away to a yard about 2 miles away. They really regretted it during the snow last year, it took them 2 hrs to walk back up the hill!

10 minutes drive :D 4.5 miles - love it :D

was 16 mile round trip - 15 mins min if i didnt hit traffic!! i needed her nearer home as i was (and am) going back into education :)
