How far would you travel to see a horse?

If you have your own transport, and collecting would only be fuel cost, then I would not worry about distnace - its just your time and cost of fuel
We travelled d 200 miles - 4o0 round trip., to view and then again with the lorry, to collect after vetting.
On viewing trip fit in in as part of a day out- have someowher in idn to go on way bakc, esp if viweing seems like a waste of time, and does not take long.

If you don;t have tansport, work out the additional cost- possibly up to £500, of you have to employ a transporter to do 400 + miles round trip.
 
I brought one in New Zealand - I didnt go with intention to by one though - as I was working out there.. (my once in a life time bit of folly!!!) He found me so to speak...

Generally quite locally or through friends/word of mouth, I live in the West Mids now but I would travel back to Sussex (where we used to be based) to see one for sure. But certainly not buying any more horses for a long long long time - unless of course I win the Euro millions!!
 
We went to Wales to look at Beano. Only problem is after such a long journey, you feel more inclined to justify the time and fuel by buying! If it's the right horse it is worth the journey, but it would be better if you could share the driving or stay overnight.
 
I travelled to Hereford and back in a day to see my horse. I'm in Scotland, think it was around 8hrs each way and it was during the floods so it rained heavy the whole way down and back, great fun.

Was worth it though as I love her to pieces.

Previous to that I travelled around 4hrs each way to the other side of Liverpool and back to see my QH.
 
I have travelled up to 300 miles - each way - for a number of animals, and none over £1000.
 
Before I found Ty anywhere but now I realise that there are enough good horses in the world for a couple to be no more than an hours drive away!
