How hard is it to buy a 2nd hand saddle??

Ok so i might be cutting my options short but i'm looking for a Wintec Dressage saddle, poss GP, 17 1/2 WITH a changeable gullet but I don't have a ton of money so happy for marks, slight damage, well used etc.
Have looked on preloved and ebay, apart from tack shops any other ideas of where to look?

Also roughly how much does it cost to have a bit of re stuffing done?

Saddles direct have a good selection.... They will post up to 3 to try.
Also check the tack sections of horsemart, Horsequest, etc.
Also search completed listings on EBay, and contact any seller who didn't manage to sell.
Ive successfully bought like this a few times
 
As difficult as selling 2nd hand saddles ...... I have three sat in my spare room that are now surplus to requirements - all nice saddles but can I shift them?? :( They're all reasonably priced but, with the extortionate postage/courier costs, noones buying.

I sold a saddle on preloved recently and although had some very cheeky offers did get a reasonable price for it and arranged courier with parcel2go.com which cost about £10.00 including insurance which I thought quite reasonable. :)

I sold a Wintec Pro dressage saddle last year. I stressed and stressed in the advert it was the Pro and not the other more expensive one. 2 sales still fell through at the last minute as the buyers claimed they thought it was the other one (I was asking peanuts for it either way as I had lost my horse, didn't need the saddle but had had some fab riding and memories so it didn't owe me anything). I put other buyers off during this time.

In the end I sold it to a lovely local lady who must have thought I was mad as I kept asking her if she was absolutely sure it was the one she wanted. She sent me a text later saying she loved it!
 
In buying patience is the trick ... and guessing just how daft some sellers are, there are plenty of ebay sellers that don't advertise well so if you're looking for a wintec dressage in a specific size try just searching for dressage saddle instead - you'll be amazed how many people don't mention the brand or size or even that it's adjustable or the width so the ebay search engine doesn't pick them up. You will have to spend more time trawling the ads but worth it if you get a bargain.

Same works on the selling side, I sold a wintec adjustable 17.5" GP recently for £30 more than I brought it for just for including all the details in the title of the ad and taking a decent photo (something the seller didn't do!) - never even rode on it as the tree was totally the wrong shape.
Ditto for another saddle that I'd had sitting around for near 20 years, sold for £80 and I was wondering whether to take it to the dump only thing stopping me was that it was so comfy to ride in and leather still decent, buyer loved it!
