Just a post to ask how oyur horsey day has been.

I was greeted this morning by my mare who I should rename mud monster.

What a state!! I'm sure she does it so it takes me extra long to groom her so she gets to munch more hay while waiting.

Had a play in the field together me running aroung like a looney and her chasing me... she loves it.. I run as fast as I can and she either trots or canters behind me. when I turn and stop she skids to a halt and then we do it all over a again.

Ohh i do love her!!

anyone else had a good/or bad day?

Aww that sounds fun. My old boy likes to follow me round to, it is lovely isn't it?

I went to visit a yard which was quite nice as i am looking for somewhere to move my younger boy to. Then i went and rode him doing some schooling round the field and he was quite good. Then I waited for the vet to come to give him his annual vaccs, vet was over an hour late so i got lots of tiding up jobs done that i wouldn't normal have time/want to do!

Won't see my ginger monster until tonight as am stuck in the office

Typical that the sun has decided to show itself again now it's Monday!

Well, I am contemplating building and Ark at the moment as I feel we may need it soon.

Neds are in their stables munching on hay - although this morning OH went in to take FB a waterbucket and while his back was turned FB just wandered out the stable and into the garden! Cue OH racing after him in the peeing rain shouting and me laughing in the barn! FB would never do that to me as I always ask him to move to the back of the box whilst I get on with whatever. OH is too soft and let him carry on eating his hay near the door, which allowed him to make a break for freedom!

Went to see him as normal at 5.30am and took him for a quick loop around the block before work. Will not see him again now until after work tonight at about 7pm. He was busy in the field this morning doing what he does best...eating!

Just grooming, because, being a massive idiot, I've slipped and cut my knee so badly that I can't put my prosthetic on.

Not impressed, since it's less than a month to the Russian finals, which we'd qualified for, and I probably won't be able to ride =[

Checked on shandy pants this morning, took his rug off and gave him his breatfast at stupid o clock....5:45 in the morning!

Will be riding him when I get down to the yard straight after work, forcased a nice evening so hopefully no rain or wind which means I have a 50% chance of staying on board

CRACKERS!! My nice calm well behaved cob has lost the plot lately, he appears to be a racehorse in disguise!
He did a huge spook because i had the cheek to undo the velcro on my glove, slipped in the process and scared himself again, just how a 12 year old clydey cross should behave.

I would'nt change him for the world, he tips water buckets no matter what you do to anchor them down, steals the hosepipe when you are filling the trough, pulls electric fence posts out with his teeth and tips over poo filled wheel barrows in the field. He is by far the most entertaining horse I have ever owned.

No horsiness happening for me yet today!

I am banned from riding anyway at the moment, while my physio tries to sort out a problem, and I have got workmen in, so I am stuck in the house, making endless cups of tea and coffee, and listening to them muttering and swearing because things are not going to plan!

I will have to do all my horsey chores later after the school run!

i've been a lame-ass today and sent my OH down to yard this morning to do all the chores... as i'm dying from a horrible migraine, and think i pulled something yesterday from carrying the world's largest haynet. why is my horse the greediest one on the yard?

so, i put on my eyemask, whacked a cold flannel on my head and went back to sleep... i'll go and do the evening shift and get my horsey cuddles then.

Had the most awful day today. Decided to sell my boy.

Been off riding for almost 12 months due to (non-riding) accident and had my first lesson today. He is just too much for me and is totally wasted with me. My instructor thinks he is the wrong horse for me. I think I knew this deep down but just kept trying to be positive and hope we would get there.

He has been ridden during this time and behaves impecably for the other guy, but every time I go near him he plays up in a big way.

Spent the last few hours in tears.

My day was pretty good! Lunged the chubby one and she actually walked nicely and listened to me rather than trotting as fast as she can in the hope the session will be over. Then took her for a walk in hand up the road and back and she behaved herself fantastically.

Then went to the other paddock where the scatty one is currently staying. She's not been ridden for 10 days so decided to lunge her too. Not the easiest of things to do when the grass is waist high and she's feeling lazy with a belly full of grass.

She then went from one extreme to the other, from being lazy to being a complete nut case snotting and prancing about like she does best. lol

Poor you, but I know how you feel, I went through that but now I have the best horse ever, but I still have pangs of guilt after selling my old horse, but you are doing the right thing.

I hope so Hermangerman. This is just so hard. I'm an emotional wreck.

We have had problems since day one and I am sure he will be happier with someone else.

This is quite spooky but while I was having my lesson today, my sister was looking online for a new horse for me. She didn't know how my lesson was going but just thought she should have a look. I think everyone could see how ill suited we were except for me. Anyway, she has found just the thing and he was only put up for sale yesterday. Maybe it is fate?

Good thanks! Both ponies have had the day off, came in for the smallest amount of breakfast (just to get their vits in) this morning and have been out ever since, and out over night. Both muddy but not overly happy at being on bare grazing because they are fatties!
