How high do you jump in Thorowgood / Kent & Masters GP saddle?

I am considering a Kent & Masters/TG saddles. I like the security and comfort of the GP saddles, but have concerns about them maxing out on jumping height pretty quickly. What has been your experience with the GPs for the height where you started to really wish you had the Jump version? I would say at this time I want it to be comfortable through 1 meter. Also what has been your experience with shortening the stirrups for XC in these GPs? Thank you!

I have a TG GP and jump 1m ish in it, fairly comfortably. Also xc'd in it too. I found it difficult to be up out of the saddle when galloping, but that may just be me!

I like my TG, but definitely not the most comfy saddle in the world so I'm glad u don't have to use it all the time!

I have an older model and I can jump a metre in it no problem but it's not overly helpful. I rode my other horse in an Albion jump saddle and the difference it made to my stability was incredible.

I've got a K&M GP and haven't done a metre in it yet (pregnancy got in the way!) But was doing 80-90cm easily and felt well supported xc and on the gallops. I feel very secure in it :-)

I have jumped up to 1.25m in ours but I wouldn't have said it was a great saddle for it though... It does the job but doesn't help you out at all... at 1m it is just like any other saddle but then it depends on your horses style of jumping as mine has a massive flick on the bum and the saddle just didn't provide the stability to push your knees in to the knee blocks... I proffered the Keiffer jump saddle I had :) They are fine for general riding though although I wouldn't have said that they were very comfortable!!

i've a tg and im not a huge fan of it. i find it uncomfortable and there's no proper knee support. I got another horse to jump and I couldn't face getting him one, so i saved up for an albion and paid it off over a year with the saddler. Im so glad i did, its much better for jumping and the best investment i made.

Pregnancy is the current issue here too. Three weeks after I bought the new horse! But I do plan to get back into it, though who knows at what level!

Thanks for the input. I'm leaning more towards the K&M GP, but figured I'd throw the TG in since they're about the same shape. I know my K&M dressage is the most comfortable I've ever ridden in. It also seems to be a good fit for my horse... Maybe I can track a Jump down somewhere sometime.
