How important is hacking alone to you?

[Nightmare before Christmas]

My one horse will hack alone, although its not fun as she gets very stressed. She does in company though. Ive had her from the start and no idea why she doesnt enjoy hacking. She will be boxed up and hack over the chase with no issues and loves it!

My 4 year old would love hacking and be the worlds best, alone or im company, IF there were no cars or motorbikes ect. He is terrified of anything like that coming towards him! If they come behind hes not really fussed. Ive tried everything and its quite dangerous! With no off road hacking by me we now dont go out. I think he must have jumped out infront of a car as that is what his reaction is like! Cars being still is no issue!

I'd ask the same question, I've done everything possible, long reining, walking out in hand and try to mount at various times and different locations, taking the dog out with me for him to follow, OH leading me (not a good look !!), if its not going to go, its not going to go so why put yourself in that position, its a danger to yourself and the horse...if you fall off and he decides he's going home without you !!! my circumstances living where I do and on my own all day, if I fall off whose going to find me....???
