Blue is 2 years 4 months old and lives on fresh air (and some grass!) at the moment.

I can't actually feel his ribs so am worried that he is too fat

He is obviously still growing so is he ok weight wise?

'Scuse blurry pics, wind was blowing me about!

my youngster is the same age as yours and i can just feel his ribs its hard with them being natives maybe get a little bit of weight off i am sure he will loose it when winter gets here

Love love LOVE this pony!! He's so gorgeous! He looks fab, I wish Star was his size, he's resembling a hippo more than a fell at the minute

I think he looks fab - autumn is round the corner so 1) be careful for the flush of grass coming through and 2) he will need the extra bit of cover to deal with winter. difficult time to deal with well covered ponies. I would say just keep doing what you are doing - hopefully the colder weather will use the extra calories from the flush of grass!

I think he has a very slight tummy but I wouldn't worry about it as winter is coming. Its lovely to see such a good typical example of a Fell pony and in such a traditional (but relatively rare) colour too!

I agree with the weight issue. Wouldn't worry about it with winter round the corner. I prefer to see them with a nice covering at this time of year to help them through to spring.

My yearling is getting some meat on her but can still find her ribs if I dig
